Fibonacci Asset Management Submits Shareholder Proposals for Komelon’s 2026 Annual General Meeting ,
Including Independent Director Nomination and Shareholder Return Measures
(March 6, 2026) – Fibonacci Asset Management Co., Ltd. (CEO: Tae Hyuk-jin), a Seoul-based independent asset manager , announced that it has officially submitted three shareholder proposals for the 2026 Annual General Meeting of its portfolio company, Komelon (049430).
Fibonacci Asset Management stated that despite Komelon’s outstanding performance in its core business over the past decades, the company’s corporate value remains significantly undervalued due to outdated and inefficient capital allocation. As corrective measures, Fibonacci has proposed:
- Election of Ji-ho Cha as Outside Director,
- A KRW 40.5 billion Share Buyback,
- Reduction of Capital Stock.
Tae Hyuk-jin, CEO of Fibonacci Asset Management, noted, “Despite Komelon’s exceptional competitiveness in its core tape measure manufacturing business and its steady market share growth in the U.S., the company’s value is being severely discounted due to inefficient capital distribution”. He explained the intent behind the proposals by saying, “These proposals are not intended to interfere with the company’s management, which has already proven its excellence; rather, they represent an exercise of shareholder rights and the expression of opinions regarding capital allocation and shareholder return policies”.
Meanwhile, ahead of Komelon’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for March 30, 2026, Fibonacci Asset Management announced that it would provide detailed explanations to shareholders regarding the company’s current status and the proposed agenda items.
